Hey, I'm Dan—Product Designer, building successful products & happy teams.
For the past 10 years I've been involved in all sorts of projects, both big and small. I've helped start-ups figure out what they should be building and transform their vision into a real product. I've also worked with large organisations to take their product further by solving hard problems that affect key metrics.
My experience as a leader taught me how to build successful teams: from defining a healthy hiring process, to managing internal resources, to supporting and growing happy design organisations.

Creating a design system contribution model
Worked closely with the design and engineering team to create a contribution model & process for our design system, at a time when resources were spread thinly across the company.

LEAD PRODUCT DESIGNER AT FARFETCH
Establishing a UX documentation process
In 2017, as the design team was growing, I established and implemented a UX documentation process, used in various forms by over 40 designers and researchers.
Improving delivery
I worked on a suite of tools, helping Farfetch provide better delivery services to their customers. Amongst other things, we implemented same-day delivery and 90 minutes delivery.

Helped the team transition from a UI/UX structure to a Product Design discipline
Redesigned the iOS and Android search & discovery experience
Ran strategy for new business opportunities: PWAs, Personalisation, etc
Built a close partnership with Apple during iOS 10

Helped grow the team from 5 to over 20 designers
During JustEat's international expansion, I helped grow our London & Bristol design offices, while establishing new processes to support our growth.
Native checkout
Improving conversion by providing a seamless, one click checkout for returning customers, moving from a 3-page webview process to 1 native page.
